Firefighters have successfully extinguished fire came from second hand goods warehouse on Jalan Komarudin, Gang Sakti RT 14/17,Pulogebang Urban Village, Cakung, East Jakarta, Monday (12/31). There is no fatality in this incident.

Allegedly, fire is caused by fire from garbage combustion

East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept.'s Fire and Rescue Section Head, Gatot Sulaeman stated, fire started to burn the warehouse around 2.30 AM.

Fire that burned the 1,000 square-meters second hand goods warehouse is allegedly caused by fire from garbage combustion. It spread and burned around 15 semi-permanent houses in warehouse area.

"Allegedly, fire is caused by fire from garbage combustion. Fire spread to second hand goods that contain flammable materials and it gets bigger," he conveyed.

Seven fire trucks were deployed to handle this fire incident. It takes around three hours to extinguish it.

Warehouse owner is suffered material loss around Rp 200 million from this incident and 15 families are home less.
